The common faults and troubleshooting methods of vortex flowmeter include:

1. The signal output is unstable. Check whether the flow rate of the medium in the pipeline exceeds the measurable range of the sensor, the vibration intensity of the pipeline, the surrounding electrical interference signals, and strengthen shielding and grounding. Check whether the sensor is contaminated, damp or damaged, and whether the sensor leads have poor contact. Check if the installation is concentric or if the sealing components protrude into the pipe, adjust the sensitivity of the sensor, check the stability of the process flow, adjust the installation position, clean up any entanglement on the body, and check for gas and air phenomena in the pipeline.


2. Signal abnormality. If the waveform is unclear, there are clutter, no signal, etc. Check the signal circuit and replace the damaged sensor.


3. Display abnormality. Such as unclear display screen, flickering, abnormal numbers, etc. Try reconnecting the power and replacing the display screen.


4. Leakage or air leakage. Check if the sealing ring is aging or damaged, and replace the sealing ring.


5. Blockage. Clean the impurities or dirt inside the flowmeter.


6. Vibration issue. Recheck the installation and wiring of the flowmeter.


7. The possible causes of the malfunction may include problems with the integrator, wiring errors, internal disconnection of the sensor, or damage to the amplifier. Check the output of the integrator, rewire, repair or replace the sensor, and reduce the inner diameter of the pipeline.


8. There is signal output when there is no traffic. Strengthen shielding or grounding, eliminate electromagnetic interference, and keep instruments or signal lines away from interference sources.


9. The flow indication value fluctuates greatly. Strengthen filtering or vibration reduction, reduce sensitivity, and clean the sensor body.


10. There is a large indication error. Change the installation location, add rectifiers or reduce usage accuracy, ensure sufficient straight pipe length, reset parameters, provide power voltage that meets requirements, clean the generator, and readjust.


In addition, there are also issues such as signal output, panel failure to light up, or abnormal startup when there is no flow after power on. It is necessary to strengthen shielding and grounding, eliminate pipeline vibration, adjust and reduce the sensitivity of converters, and replace components such as circular pre discharge boards, power modules, and semi-circular terminal blocks.
