Selection requirements for electromagnetic flow meters

The selection requirements for electromagnetic flow meters include the following points:

Measure the medium. Consider the conductivity, corrosiveness, viscosity, temperature, and pressure of the medium. For example, high conductivity media are suitable for small induction coil instruments, corrosive media require corrosion-resistant materials, and high viscosity media require large-diameter sensors.
Measurement accuracy. Select the appropriate accuracy level based on measurement requirements, with low accuracy suitable for high flow rates and high accuracy suitable for low flow rates.

Caliber and flow rate. Choose the appropriate diameter and flow range based on the flow rate and pipeline size, and pay attention to matching the flow range with the actual flow rate.
Work pressure and temperature. Choose the appropriate working pressure and temperature range to ensure the applicability of the instrument.

Electrode materials and wear resistance. Select appropriate electrode materials and wear resistance based on actual application scenarios.

Installation conditions and environmental factors. Select the appropriate instrument type and installation method based on the actual installation environment and conditions.
The characteristics of the fluid being tested. Electromagnetic flow meters are suitable for conductive liquids and are not suitable for gases, oils, and organic chemicals.

Measurement range and flow rate. The flow velocity is usually recommended to be between 2 and 4m/s. In special cases, such as fluids containing solid particles, the flow velocity should be less than 3m/s.

Lining material. Select appropriate lining materials based on the physical and chemical properties of the medium, such as corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant materials.
Output signal and connection method. Choose the appropriate output signal type (such as 4 to 20mA, frequency output) and connection method (such as flange connection, clamp type, etc.).

Protection level and special environmental type. Choose the appropriate protection level (such as IP68) and special environmental type (such as submersible, explosion-proof, etc.) according to the installation environment.
